You do not know this man. Long story short, the player who won APOEL Nicosia the game against French giants, Lyon, a result that will be forever written in the history books of the minnows from Cyprus. His courageous defensive performance against the European powerhouse makes this position his own.

Mario Gomez and Karim Benzema both had good reason to be selected for this team. But none have done what Drogba has done for this Chelsea team. Opening goal versus Napoli to kick-start their comeback. Winner versus Barcelona. Equaliser against Munich in the final. Chelsea hero.
7 games, 6 goals. European defenders can breath a sigh of relief now that Drogba is going to leave Chelsea.

All that Bayern has in attacking areas are those two "WINGERS" not Center Mids, ribery and robben other than that they have a decent CM schwienstiger and a lucky caveman of a forward, Gomez, who only waits for crosses coming from his outside mids and can finnish them only because he is strong. Chelsea has Frank Lampard "The Lion Heart" and the strongest midfield in the premier league. they also have highly skilled forwards like Drogba and Torres. who easily are better than Gomez. if you ever do another team of the tournament make sure you dont amke stupid comments, or elsea you will have fans posting angry messages stating the truth.

ReplyDeletei dont think there was a comparison of mereiles to silva, there was however a lampard comment that, well lets face it this year he may not have been the best midfielder in the league, but he did bring home more silverware. and torres is a much better all around striker than gomez. haha, even out of form he won the FA Cup, Champions League, Euro 2012, got the golden boot in that tournanment and has scored in two euro finals in a row. he certainly is more decorated than gomez. the only thing that gomez has over torres is physicallity, besides that he is always just in the right place at the right time.
